I couldn't fit it in the title. :P It was supposed to say "Stock Practice 3 - New Years Resolution."

I decided that my New Years Resolution would be to practice more. Specifically, stick to figure practice and learn to draw new faces and features. I went around yesterday and saved a bunch of stock images, and here's the first of the year.

Right now I'm trying to practice likenesses and getting features right and stuff, but the more I detail the more I make it look like the faces I always draw. So I stopped on this one so far. XD

Yes, I did it in Photoshop with a tablet, and based it off of a stock photo as practice. ^^

I like the color scheme you picked for this. It looks really good. The likeness from the stock photo you used is a reference is good too! The line defining the edge of her cheek on the left (the one that starts at about the edge of her lips and goes upward) is a little too dark, though and it makes it look like she's pressing her toungue on the inside of her cheek. Just a little problem though.
Keep up the good work! If this is where you're coming from by the end of this upcoming year I'm sure you'll have improved exponentially! Happy 2008!
